These are tears of happiness.
My makeup covers the bruise.
It's my fault.
I think you are a good spouse.
I feel safe with you.
I don't want to run away from you.
These are my thoughts. Hopefully my songs of despair will help you realize the intrinsic value in yourself. Perhaps my sonnets of emotion will have a direct impact on your current situation.
METHOD: I do tend to keep things bottled up, and this is a valve to release the steam of life's frustrations. I achieve this by subjecting myself to emotional states; what you recieve is raw emotion. If anything, it is mood trapping and projecting at its most effective.
The downside to this method is that, like any other true empath, the energies can linger with me. Because of this phenomenon, my writings tend to be very draining. But in the end, it is worth it. I want you to feel the same pain I fell as I write.
INSPIRATION: At the end of each month, I will post what my specific inspiration was for each poem in the previous month. This is a nice way for you to understand my perspective, as well as read up on older poems and leave more comments!
FINAL THOUGHTS: Lastly, if you want me to link to you, please don't hesitate to contact me .

Heart wrenching.
I can relate....great take on the prompt. Sadly very well done.... heart breaking!
Peace
So sad. I like the repetition of "It's my fault"
(hugs)
I'm relieved to say I can't relate, but definitely see the truth of this lie in action.
This is especially resonant to me because the speaker isn't just lying to us and to her spouse, she's lying to herself. Heartbreaking take on the prompt, done simply and well.
Ouch!
Your poem of lies rings true. Lying to oneself is so devastating for others to watch, but sometimes it's the only way one sees to cope with a horrible situation.
